Government department funded by vaccine companies to evaluate mental health in Finland

A government vaccine department which is funded by pharmaceutical companies has been given the task of evaluating the mental health of people in Finland in key cases.

The National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) took responsibility for forensics, post-mortem and the evaluation of people’s mental states in connection with court trials on 1 January 2010.

Though under the control of the Finnish Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, the THL receives most of its funding from Big Pharma. The THL has a total funding of 6 million euros: the government gives 1 million euros to the institute while pharmaceutical companies give grants of 5 million euros. Vaccine producer GlaxoSmithKline is also a major funder.

The THL recommended the swine flu vaccine to the Finnish government, specifically GSK’s Pandemrix jab, raising concerns of a conflict of interest.

The revelation that a government body that is mainly funded by vaccine companies is now responsible for evaluation the mental health of people in Finland raises the specter that a refusal to take vaccines in future could be classified as a sign of mental illness in future.

Under national pandemic plans developed together with WHO, being potentially infected by a pandemic virus is criminalized, and allows forced vaccinations, quarantines and the use of deadly force by police.

The head of THL, Pekka Puska, has strong links to WHO: he was a candidate to be made WHO´s Director General but was beaten to the post by Dr Margaret Chan.

GSK-funded Puska is reported to more here >>>>
